Terms of Service

By engaging ThePlumberz ("we", "us") for any plumbing, heating, gas or electrical work, you agree to the following terms.

1. Quotes & pricing

All quotes are fixed in writing before work begins. Where additional issues are discovered mid-job, we will pause work, advise you, and only continue once you have approved any new charges.

2. Payment

Payment is due on completion. We accept all major credit and debit cards, contactless, and bank transfer. Late payments may attract interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

3. Workmanship guarantee

All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion. If a fault arising from our work occurs within that period, we will return and rectify it at no charge. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, third parties, or unrelated component failure. Manufacturer warranties on supplied parts apply in addition to our workmanship guarantee.

4. Cancellations

Bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 2 hours before the engineer is due. Cancellations made after this point may be subject to a £45 + VAT call-out charge to cover the engineer's time.

5. Liability

We carry £5 million public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the cost of the work carried out, save for instances of negligence or fraud where statutory rights apply. We are not liable for consequential losses (loss of business, lost income, etc.) except where required by law.

6. Compliance

All gas work is performed by Gas Safe registered engineers and notified as required. Electrical work is performed by Part P certified electricians and notified to building control where required.

7. Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
